What Famous Landmark Are You?
I created an interactive quiz that determines which famous landmark best matches your personality, using JavaScript and HTML to power the experience. The quiz takes users through a series of fun, engaging questions, then calculates the results to reveal their landmark match. It’s a creative way to combine personality insights with travel inspiration, all while showcasing my skills in web development and interactive design.
World of Golf
On my Bootstrap site, Golf World, I provide a comprehensive resource for golfers of all levels. The site explores the rich history of the sport, offers tips and techniques to improve your game, and highlights iconic golf courses from around the world. Additionally, Golf World keeps visitors updated on the latest advancements in golf technology, creating an engaging platform for enthusiasts to enhance their knowledge and connect with others in the golfing community.
Texas State Career Services
During my Social Media Analytics course, I had the opportunity to work with Texas State Career Services. I created social media content for their Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn accounts, developing posts that aligned with their mission of supporting student success. In addition to content creation, I analyzed the performance of their social media platforms, identifying trends and providing insights to optimize engagement and reach. This experience allowed me to apply data-driven strategies to improve content effectiveness and support the career services’ goals of connecting students with career opportunities.
Golf Simplified
On my WordPress blog, Golf Simplified, I break down the key elements of the game to help golfers of all levels improve their skills. The blog covers essential topics such as mastering the golf swing, understanding the complexity of the grip, and exploring the necessary equipment for success on the course. Each post provides practical insights and tips, making it easier for readers to enhance their performance and enjoyment of golf.
INTERNAL DIVERSITY AUDIT
For my internal diversity audit, our class conducted a diversity thread exercise aimed at ensuring a wide range of sources were used. This approach allowed us to incorporate diverse perspectives into our individual story projects, which explored how living as a student on campus impacts the broader community. The audit also involved analyzing Texas State demographic information, which we pulled from the Office of Institutional Research, to further understand the diversity represented in our narratives. I created a prototype website on Figma called VitalHealth Trackers, designed to transform how individuals manage their health. The platform offers intuitive tools and personalized insights to help users track fitness, manage chronic conditions, and improve overall well-being. Our goal is to make health tracking accessible and impactful, with a focus on delivering a seamless user experience that adapts to unique health goals.
Golf ball Fitting App
One of my early creations was a prototype for a golf ball fitting app on Figma, designed to help golfers choose the right golf ball based on their specific interests, whether it’s driving, chipping, or putting. The app provides valuable insights into why each aspect of the game is important and then offers three tailored golf ball options depending on the user’s focus. This intuitive approach helps golfers make informed decisions to enhance their performance on the course.
